Travel Directions to Ukrainian Park Camp

Driving through / around Winnipeg:

Winnipeg area mapWherever you're driving from, your route to Gimli will probably go through Winnipeg.

If you're driving from the South, turn right at Trans-Canada Bypass #100; drive about 5 miles then turn right onto PTH 59 north-bound (Lagimodiere Blvd). Follow PTH #59 north through the outskirts of Winnipeg until you reach the Trans-Canada North Bypass #101, and turn left (west). Drive a few more miles to PTH 8, and turn right (north).

If you're driving from the East, turn right at PTH 59 (Lagimodiere Blvd). Follow PTH #59 north to the Trans-Canada North Bypass #101, and turn left (west). Drive a few more miles to PTH 8, and turn right (north).

If you're driving from the West, turn onto Trans-Canada North Bypass #101, follow it around to PTH #8, then turn left (north).

From Winnipeg...

Gimli area mapDrive North on PTH #8 for about 74 km (46 miles) to Provincial Road #231, then turn right (east).

Follow #231 for 1.6 km (1 mile) to #222. Turn left (north).

Drive north on #222 for 8.3 km (5.1 miles). The road will come to an end at Camp Morton; turn left, drive about 100 yards, and turn right to stay on #222. Continue north on #222 for another 2.2 km (1.3 miles).

Watch carefully on the right for the Ukrainian Park Camp. The sign may be hard to see, especially after dark.

(Note: You can also take a more direct route along PTH #9 from Winnipeg through Gimli to PR #222, but the road passes through a series of lakefront towns, which will slow you down.)
