Come laugh away the midwinter blues at Castel Rouge’s February Frolicking of Fools!

 Crossing the Border – welcome to Canada!

Planned Activities

  • Mask/Foolish Attire-making A&S station throughout the day will culminate in a
    Fools Parade before Fools Court
  • Both Heavy and Rapier Tournaments, with overall winners being decided based
    on most dramatic death, as voted by the populace.
  • The populace is invited to game away their event tokens, in a most frivolous
    manner, at the various gaming tables that will be set up around the hall.
  • As a part of the Fools parade, the populace will vote to select a winner of the A&S Fools competition, to be named the King or Queen of Misrule.
  • Fools Court, overseen by the King or Queen of Misrule and their consort, will present  awards for the various competitions during the day and handle any other event-specific tasks.  They will also sit at head table during dinner and will be allowed to make appropriately silly rules and decrees throughout the course of the meal.
  • Actual court will be held at the discretion of Their Excellencies and/or Their Majesties
  • Evening dancing in your fools attire is encouraged.
  • There may be the possibly of SCApades or other skating-related activities, depending
    on the community center and weather.
