Saturday 

 

 Make and Take Tunic –  (Hall)

This workshop will cover all steps to make a basic tunic. It will start with taking your own measurements and that of your chosen fabric, then creating a cutting layout on graph paper, transferring that to your fabric, cutting, and then assembling it all into a tunic. Workshop will be taught both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Fabric will be provided at no cost. Preference given to newer people and to those unable to cross the border for whatever reason. 

(Class size limit 6 participants on Saturday and 6 different participants on Sunday)

Round Cap Making –  (Hall)

Come and learn how to make a six section Birka/Medieval style round cap. Fabric will be provided. If a specific colour or type of fabric is wanted, please bring your own.

Embroidery Basics  (Hall)

This is a continuation of the round cap making class. Participants must have attended the first class. This class will focus on decoration of the caps with embroidery and/or students may bring trims or furs to add to their hats.

Pasta Making2pm – 5pm (Hall/Kitchen)

This class will be a hands on creation of pasta from scratch, with some historical background about pasta. The pasta will then be used for Sunday dinner.
