Everyone started in the SCA for one reason or another and we quickly found out it’s much much bigger on the inside. The SCA is a hobby that has hobbies :). The event will be themed around the journey that is the discovery of all things SCA, as well as a nod to Doctor Who.

Site is a discreetly wet site. Cannabis use is not allowed on site and must be consumed off site, as per the Camp Rules.
Please note: While dogs are allowed on-site they are note allowed in ANY building, and must be on-leash. Please plan accordingly. Details in Camp Rules.
IMPORTANT: The beach is public property and not considered part of site. Please use responsibly. Dogs are not allowed on Gimli public beaches. Safety at the beach is entirely the responsibility of the individual.

Accommodations: dormitory-style (bunks) accommodation in the cabins. Tenting space and limited, non-serviced RV space will also be available.
It is rustic accessible in terms of wheelchair and disability accessibility. All door have lips, and the paths are gravel or uneven. Some buildings do not have ramps (please let us know if a ramp is needed).
The cabins have power but not many outlets so, again, please let us know if you need an outlet.

Armoured combat, rapier, possible youth combat (if there is interest and someone to marshal), archery (don’t miss the famous Water Duel!), thrown weapons.
A&S
Head Count (so to speak…): Her Excellency the Baroness has issued the call for the A&S community to bring her the skulls of her enemies yet again!

A&S contest: Make a band (length of weaving, bracelet, crocheted, etc.) containing many colours, as a nod to the fourth Doctor’s scarf.
“Tell Me Your Story” Bardic Competition: It should be in written form, no more than 1000 words ( think newspaper article). The topic of the piece can either be your persona’s back story or how you joined the SCA. Winners will be determined by a popular bean count vote. With the authors’ permission, entries will be printed in the Castel Rouge Chronicle throughout the fall/ winter seasons following the event.
